We started Christmas Eve night by going out to sprinkle the reindeer food on the lawn.
Dancing in anticipation, Ty's normal evening garb of shirt and no pants.
We spent the evening watching the Christmas movies on TV, all the weird Miser brothers movies like Rudolph and such. Then Ty went to bed, not so happy, but he finally settled down. Cody helped me to get the cookies for Santa plated and we made him some hot chocolate, complete with whip cream and a dash of cinnamon on the top. We finally told him it was time for bed and he ran to his room to change, then ran back for hugs and off to bed he went.
The still of early Christmas morning.
Finally, we were up and running around 7:30, Cody came out to see what was left by Santa. After getting Dad out of bed, we made some hot chocolate and started in on the stockings. Tyler's stocking digging stance...
Then it was on to the presents. The boys really wanted a puppy for Christmas, but Santa and I had a talk and said that was not happening, so we settled for this. His name is Lucky and he does tricks on command, sometimes. He's cute and cuddly, and he has an off switch.
The boys also received remote-controlled cars, different frequencies so the can run them at the same time.
Modeling the robe I made for him. Tyler received one as well, and an awesome new jacket, but has yet to try them on.
Riding the stick horses, we had to have Grandpa cut some off the bottoms because they were way too long.
After we finished our gifts at home, we headed over to Keith's family's house for breakfast and gifts. Tyler asked me if he could take his coffee with him, really hot chocolate, but that's what mom call stuff in a mug!
After a wonderful breakfast of pull-a-parts and breakfast ciche, we opened Grandma's stockings.
After gifts, we played for a while then headed home for a rest. This was the bad part of our day, but finally Tyler took a nap and Cody layed down for a good 3 hours, not once closing his eyes.
I took some time to open up a few of their packages, this took more time than all of Christmas morning! Then set up a big train track with the new airport and opened up the new double loop Hot wheels track. We headed back to dinner then home again for bed. It was a very busy day, but a wonderful one!

Could you please post your recipe for pull aparts? Thanks
Very fun! It looks like you are all doing wonderfully! My guess is with the new house and the "settled" life, you won't be moving to Idaho anytime soon... I'll try to remember to keep up with you this way! We just started one of these as well... idahoanhyatts.blogspot.com.
Merry Christmas! Happy New Year!
What great Holiday memories you're creating for the boys. Keep up the excellent work. I am amazed that you got everything accomplished!! Really proud of you. MOM
