Six Flags...

Wednesday, we took the boys to Six Flags in Vallejo. It Was So Much Fun! Having been there all day, we were making plans to come again, a bunch of times for different things. But anyway....

We arrived to the gates before they officially opened, but they sold us tickets and let us in anyway. They have ropes up that keep you from going to the various wings of the park, so we hung out in the front court and watched a dance party by the fountain.

We headed towards the back of the park first, but stopped to see the penguins on the way...

Then, with a glorious lights shining all round it, we arrived at our first destination...

The very first ride the boys road was Bertie the Bus, they were the first ones of the day.

Then we all hopped on board for a ride with Thomas...

Then they took a spin around in Harold...

There are a lot of water features in the park. The morning fog kept things cool and it never did warm up to the point of uncomfortable. We have big plans to go back for a water day...

We headed over to the Looney Toons town for more rides. A roller coaster...
and planes...

There were also some spinning tea-cups, big swings, pirate ship and hot air balloons.

Next was the beginning of our animal tour.
We started off by going through the shark exhibit. They have a really cool tunnel you walk under and the sharks and fish are all around you...

We stopped for a quick snack then headed over to watch the Shouka the Whale show...

After that we headed over to the Tiger show...

This was really cool...

After all that it was finally time for some lunch. A stop at the burger shack and we were back at it again.

The first stop after lunch was to see the butterflies.
They have an awesome walk through exhibit with butterflies flying all around and a pond in the middle with giant koi.

This dude decided to hang on and walk around with me for a while...

After watching some of the big rides that we weren't tall enough for, we headed over to a huge play structure for a bit.

Then they road some rides in Tava's Jungle. These were geared for the youngest crowd, and almost too tame for the boys.
But while riding these....

they circled these guys...

After the boys and I took a spin in another set of balloons, and by spin I mean a spinning basket that had me walking silly for a good 5 minutes, the boys wanted to ride more swings.

We warned them that they were slower than the first set, but they had to try...

But, then we found the frog jump and life was good again...

After this set of rides, we walked around to see the rest of the animals in the park...

Then after stopping for some treats, we hit up one last ride. We thought Ty was tall enough to ride a Whale jumping ride, but he was about a 1/2 an inch too short. So Cody and Keith took a ride and we watched some dolphins.

Then we found this jewel for a last spin...

On our way out we hit up the gift shops and the boys picked up some new friends...
(Thanks Grammpa!)
Phew, it was quite a day! Hoping to go back next year for some more fun.
