We had the pleasure of going down to Pacifica to visit Stuart and Florence's house for brunch and beach time. (Oh, and to pick up some new to us furniture)

Fun Run and Gym Gala
The gym's major fundraiser of the year was mid May.
The day started off with a fun run for all the gymnasts where they spent a couple of months raising money for the team, then had an opportunity to run crazy laps and win prizes.
There were spots to run over bubble wrap, through bubbles and a water sprayers (or buckets of water!) They had carnival games and a dunk tank to dunk some of the coaches.
Tyler had a blast with his friends.
In the evening, there was a Gala with good food and live and silent auctions.
A number of the gymnasts performed from all the teams at the gym while the attendees ate dinner.
I saw Tyler perform a couple of things, but had other things I was doing and missed a lot of the show.
The kids hung out in the back room, having a pizza party, while waiting to perform.
Here he is, warming up for the crowd.
Here was the boy's finale, he's right in the middle.

Graduation Quilt
A quilt for Ashlee for her high school graduation, made from her volleyball and school shirts.
I made it two sided, without batting because it was already so heavy.
There was a mix of old jerseys and t-shirts.
I also took pictures and printed them onto fabric to use as blocks.
This side's fabric was based around her school colors.
This side's fabric went well with all the colors of her jerseys.
Applique of the back of a jersey onto the front.

Time Trials
Swim season has arrived again. Mid may we had time trials to set some base times for the year.
The boys both had some good swims and are happy with where the season is starting.

Gym Team Party
We celebrated the end of the gym season at the park with pizza and cupcakes, a perfect way to end the year!
A few gifts for our graduating seniors
Can't believe I haven't played with shrink paper before; super fun but a bit of a learning curve
