We traveled to Elk Grove for the Mas Watanabe Invitational hosted by Byer's Gymnastics.
Tyler had another good meet, bettering some of his scores and posting another 50 point all-around score.

These two are almost exactly the same height, so there was a quick game of Ro-Sham-Bo to decide who stood where for introductions.
Floor was a bit shaky, not the best event for these boys to start on.
Tyler did very well on his mushroom routine this weekend, very proud that he nailed his 1 1/2 circle and didn't have to take a fall deduction.
He had a rough week with his hands, so Coach John made him some grips out of tape to protect his rips until they heal.
He walked away with 3 event medals and plus an AA medal, a first for him to place and have his name called. He was a bit shocked! So proud of him.
The Technique twins tied on parallel bars for 8th place.
Ty rode home with Grandma & Grandpa so he didn't have to go to soccer try-outs. They said he made quite a bit of jingling sounds the whole way!
