Fair Oaks Holiday Parade and Dovewood Ct 2014

It's not Christmas until we've gone to Dovewood and hit the parade route!

Last year's parade was super wet and we chose not to go, so it was fun to relive this tradition with friends.
Waiting for the parade to start.
Love all the old buildings and signs in old town.
Cool way to start the parade!

The 4x4 club was new this year, fully decorated and awesome!
We were disappointed to not have the tall club or Klingons in attendance.

We stayed for the tree lighting after the the parade.
It was a bit anticlimactic because they were using new LED twinkle lights, but he music was fun!

Taking advantage of a non-weekend, non-rainy night, we hit Dovewood Ct on a Monday.

The garage scene that changes every season, very fun.

Techno light structure you can stand inside of.

Welcome Back Freddy!

Freddy, our Elf on the Shelf showed up on the first of December.  The boys had been asking about when he would arrive and were excited to finally see him again!

Upon his arrival he brought the boys new shirts for the Christmas Season.

The next day he decided to help out and pack the boys a lunch.

We learned last year that he enjoys a bit of adventure, so it wasn't a huge surprise to find him repelling down the fire place.

We were surprised after all that work the night before that we found him working on his support holds the next day.  Nice form Freddy!

More fun to come!

Week 48

11/25 - 12/1

We did a lot of hanging out and cleaning house over our Thanksgiving week break.
The boys had fun at the neighbors house most of Tuesday with their grandson.

On Wednesday we made some mini pies to take to Grandma's for Thanksgiving.
Helpers working on the apples.
Some of the finished product, classic apple and pumpkin pies.

With the weather looking like it was going to be a bit iffy, Keith helped us hang a few lights on Thursday and put Santa on the roof.
Friday morning, Ty decided the rest needed to be put up and started getting it all out before we were all up and about for the day.  He's my Christmas elf!
With Thanksgiving officially past, the boys busted out their foam houses to build.
Freddy arrived Sunday night with new Christmas shirts.
He will get his own post in a few days.....
