Family of 3 for a few more days.....

Week 29

7/15 - 21

We took a trip to the dirt bike track this week.  Nice and empty on a hot summer afternoon.

Our league champs were this weekend.
The boys swam well and qualified for the Sac Valley Meet of Champs.
So proud of them!

Sunday night we celebrated the season with the team at awards night.
Normally it is held on the pool deck, but our weird summer weather continued and it was raining a bit.  Luckily it cleared up and we were able to go for a short swim anyway.
Gonna miss all these faces during the off season!

Monday we dropped Cody off for his Academic Talent Search class at Sacramento State.  He qualified based on a special test he took in the spring.  He chose to do an electrical class and really enjoyed the experience.  In August we will receive his grade for the session.

2014 VFCAL Champs

The TigerSharks had a great end of the season at Champs.
The team took 2nd place overall, the first time ranking so high.

Tyler has found a buddy in 13/14 Reed.
Here they are getting ready for the team cheer.
Cody also likes to hang out with the older kids.

The boys had an awesome day in the pool.

Tyler qualified for Meet of Champs in all 3 of his individual events, first time he's qualified on his own (not part of a relay team)!
25 Freestyle with a time of 19.72 (PR by 1.21) placing 8th out of 65.
Backstroke was 24.07, a bit off from is PR for the season, placing 6th out of 57.
Breastroke was his time to shine with a time of 28.58 placing 2ND out of 25.

To cap off his individual events, both of his relay teams also placed 1st!

Home Meet vs Cordova

7/12 brought us to our last home and dual meet of the season.
Cody had a pretty fast day in the pool with 2 PR's  to show for his efforts.
Ty was a bit off and gained time all day, but had fun!

Week 28

7/8 - 14

We met with friends and went skating.

Part of the fun was showing them the games we received from House Party.  They were a hit!

We had our last home swim meet this week.
 Tyler's favorite, Ms. Natalie!
Cody had a soccer seeding tournament on Sunday.  They are working at coming together and won a game!

I'm sad I missed their win, but had a lot of fun painting with friends.

Week 27- Boise

7/1 - 7/7

We had a lot of fun and some much needed relaxation while in Boise.

One morning we went down to the nature center by the river before the heat was too bad.

After Lunch we headed down to the BSU campus to walk around and see the bookstore.
The boys have discovered that college bookstores are super rad.

We hit the pool a couple of times and an open gym to keep them up on their skills.

There was a lot of lounging as well.

Cousin Cody had a baseball tournament going on, it was fun to watch him play.

We had a bunch of downtown before fireworks on the 4th.
 A pick-up soccer game...
A lot of the evening was spent like this.
Cody hates fireworks.  They are too loud and too unpredictable.
Fun fountains while we wait for the big show.
Cousin Ashlee and Aunt Danna playing with sparklers.

The show started and Cody finally relaxed a bit.

Unfortunately, this stressful night made him sick.  After some rest, he was ready to go for another day.

On our last day we went out to the race track to watch Uncle Tim race.
He won his class for the night, capping off a great trip!
